Smart Start childcare center owner buys early childhood portion of Bowling Green Christian Academy

CORRECTION: This story has been corrected from an earlier version. The entire school was not sold.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bowling Green Christian Academy recently sold its early childhood education program to the owner of Smart Start Child Care.

Smart Start Child Care’s owner Paul Isenburg bought the Christian school’s preschool program and preschool building.

The name is changing to Smart Start Christian Academy, but school officials want to reassure the faculty, parents and community that no other major changes are in the works.

The remainder of Bowling Green Christian Academy is unchanged. Isenburg did not buy the K-12 portion of the school.

Isenburg plans to keep the same faculty and staff at the preschool along with using the same curriculum.

The announcement to the teachers Wednesday morning brought up mixed feelings, but preschool director Rachel Luallen, said she and others are excited to “continue to pour Jesus” into the students.

School starts next Monday at Smart Start Christian Academy.
