Be careful and beat the heat
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- An excessive heat warning will be in effect multiple times over the next week. Are you prepared?
It is important to be aware of the difference between heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
A heat stroke shows symptoms such as a body temperature of over 103 degrees, loss of consciousness, severe confusion, throbbing headaches, and no sweating. While that is the most severe, heat exhaustion is also dangerous to your health.
Enjoy the heat by taking a swim or going to one of the local fountains to cool off.
Remember to drink plenty of water, take breaks when working outside, and never leave a child or animal in a car that isn’t running.
