Burn ban lifted in Warren County

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – The burn ban in Warren County has been lifted due to recent rain.

According to an executive order posted by Plano Fire Department, Warren County Judge-Executive Michael Buchanon lifted the ban July 11.

Buchanon stated citizens should still be cautious with all outdoor controlled burns.

According to the Bowling Green Fire Department, fireworks are still not permitted in Warren County due to a city ordinance. The fire department also reminds residents that a burn permit is required for burning of allowed materials that are not contained in a fire pit.

Additionally, Simpson County Judge-Executive Mason Barnes posted on social media that the Simpson County burn ban is lifted. However, he said additional limits for fireworks could be in place by the city.
