BGPD responds to homicide downtown, 1 dead

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Bowling Green Police Department responded to a homicide at 19 E. 13th Ave. in downtown Bowling Green on Sunday night at 5:40 p.m.

When officers arrived, they located one male inside the building with multiple gunshot wounds. They attempted life saving measures but were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity is known, but is being withheld until the family is notified. 

Detectives and crime scene processors are attempting to locate any video evidence or witness who may have seen or heard something and will be working on this for the next few hours. 

BGPD is asking if anyone knows anything about this incident to call 270-393-4000.
