Glasgow man arrested on multiple charges

GLASGOW, Ky. – A man was arrested on multiple drug related charges Friday after a traffic stop.

On Friday, April 29, the Glasgow Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Happy Valley Road. A GPD sergeant made contact with Kerry Ransom, 21, of Glasgow. Police said Ransom provided false information about his identity several times before police confirmed that he had active warrants for his arrest.

The sergeant also discovered marijuana on Ransom and located a backpack inside the vehicle containing marijuana, digital scales and synthetic drugs, according to the GPD.

Ransom was arrested and charged with failure to or improper signal, reckless driving, improper turning, giving an officer false identifying information, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana, trafficking in marijuana, first offense, trafficking in synthetic drugs, first offense, operating on a suspended or revoked operator license, failure of a non-owner operator to maintain required insurance, first offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ransom was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
