Family Enrichment Center 26th annual run raises $50,000 for children

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Children around Bowling Green are safer thanks to over 500 heroes attending the Family Enrichment Center’s annual fundraiser run.

The Family Enrichment Center hosted their 26th Annual Run & Walk for Children at Ephram White Park.

About 350 participants and over 200 volunteers braved the strong winds this past Saturday to raise right at $50,000.

The Family Enrichment Center’s uses this event to lead into April, which is National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Executive Director Nickie Jones said, “It’s just been a great day, and we’re so thankful for the community. We’re just so appreciative for those supporting Family Enrichment Center and our cause of empowering families and preventing child abuse.”

All the funding goes to the community and the Family Enrichment Center to keep children safe from harm.
