Man claims harassment by Starbucks employee

(WFLA) Lorne Green says he walked into a Starbucks last month and was harassed for “using the bathroom while black.”

Green states that before placing his order he went to use the restroom when he overheard an employee say “the big black guy is headed for the bathroom.”

As Green was in the restroom, he called Starbucks corporate to explain the situation. Outside the restroom, employees were reportedly banging on the door asking if he needed fire and rescue. Green also stated to reporters on Wednesday that employees started to call the police.

“I felt humiliated…completely defeated. They had wronged me, and now they were going to call the cops on me,” stated Green.

Green received a citation for trespassing and was told not to return or he’d be arrested.

Green and his attorney haven’t filed a lawsuit yet but intend to do so.
