MINNEAPOLIS – The 2026 Special Olympic USA Games have wrapped up in Minnesota, and there will be a few more medals coming back to Southcentral Kentucky following the back half of the week.
Warren County’s own Dillon Meador will have two awards of his own to add to the trophy case, coming back with a gold medal in his doubles division and a bronze medal in his team division.
He also added a fourth-place finish to his week in the singles division.
Glasgow’s Troy Pickens and his unified golf teammate James Cheely of Bowling Green will also make the trip southward wearing gold medals.
The pair ended the week the best in their division, shooting 238 through four rounds of play.
With the final results, all local athletes come back to the Bluegrass with hardware.
