2 women dead, man flown following Todd County shooting

TODD COUNTY, Ky. – Two women are dead after a shooting in Todd County.
According to the Kentucky State Police, troopers were requested to assist with a shooting investigation on Saturday near the 600 block of Gates Road in Elkton.
Authorities say a preliminary investigation showed 69-year-old Elvis Belcher of Elkton is responsible for the shooting deaths of 53-year-old Denise Bullion and 36-year-old Jacqueline Bullion of Elkton.
Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene by the Todd County coroner.
Following the incident, authorities say Belcher was found nearby suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital in Nashville for medical treatment.
The investigation is ongoing.
