18-year-old woman charged, 1 injured in reported Owensboro shooting

OWENSBORO, Ky. – One person is injured following a reported shooting Sunday night in Owensboro.
According to the Owensboro Police Department, officers were dispatched shortly before midnight to a reported gun discharge in the 600 block of Dalton Street.
While police responded to the scene, they say dispatch received a second call from the victim, who reported she had been shot and was traveling to the hospital.
Authorities say a preliminary investigation determined an 18-year-old female shot a weapon into a vehicle occupied by four individuals after an argument, striking a 19-year-old female.
Police say the victim was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, where she was treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
According to police, Kalie Evans turned herself in to Owensboro police detectives and was arrested.
She faces charges of tampering with physical evidence, second-degree assault, three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment and second-degree criminal mischief.
