11-year-old faces carjacker

(WTLV) “What if the gun’s a real gun?” Vania Quiroz-Medina asked herself. “What if it’s not a toy gun? What if I die?”

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says the 11-year-old girl was inside her mother’s car at a Dollar Tree when a man got into the driver’s seat and ordered the girl to leave the car at gunpoint.

“I kept thinking my little brothers and sisters were still in the backseat, so I put my fingers between the door, the back door and the front door and it kept slamming into my fingers,” said Quiroz-Medina. “That’s how I got the scars.”
