1 dead, 3 juveniles injured following ATV crash in Stanton

STANTON, Ky. – One person is dead and three juveniles are injured after a reported ATV crash in Stanton on Tuesday.
According to the Kentucky State Police, on Sept. 8 around 8 p.m., troopers received a call from Powell County dispatch requesting assistance with a fatal ATV collision near the 1500 block of Cat Creek Road.
Authorities say a preliminary investigation shows 70-year-old Deloris Kay Huff of Clay City, along with her three grandchildren, were on an ATV on Cat Creek Road when the ATV exited the roadway before overturning in a ditch.
Huff and the three juveniles were transported to Centerpoint Health in Winchester. Troopers say Huff was pronounced dead upon arrival at Centerpoint Health.
The three juveniles remain in the hospital at this time, authorities say. One juvenile is listed in critical condition, while the other two are expected to be released Wednesday.
KSP was assisted on scene by Stanton Fire Department, Powell County EMS and Stanton Police Department. The collision remains under investigation.
