1 charged after allegedly hitting vehicle in front of Christian County Sheriff’s office

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (WKDZ) – One person has been hospitalized and another is facing charges after a wreck in Hopkinsville on Sunday afternoon.
That’s according to a report by WKDZ, which states the collision occurred on West Seventh Street in Hopkinsville.
WKDZ further reports Hopkinsville police stated that at 4:19 p.m., a westbound truck driven by 65-year-old Darrell Groves collided with the back of a car in front of the Christian County Sheriff’s Office.
Following this, WKDZ states Groves fled the scene in the truck.
Groves and the truck were located in a driveway on Sanderson Drive, WKDZ states, along with damage to a mailbox and a trash can.
The driver of the car was transported to Jennie Stuart Health for treatment. According to WKDZ, Groves was taken into custody and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, resisting arrest and leaving the scene of an accident.
