Woman dies after crash in Pendleton County

FALMOUTH, Ky. – One woman is dead following a crash in Pendleton County.
According to the Kentucky State Police, troopers received a call at about 9 p.m. Friday regarding a two-vehicle collision near the 2600 block of U.S. 27 in Pendleton County.
Authorities say the Pendleton County Sheriff’s Office was on scene and requested an accident reconstruction.
Troopers say a preliminary investigation revealed a vehicle driven by 67-year-old Sandra Barker of Falmouth was traveling north on U.S. 27 when it crossed the center line and hit a pickup truck driven by 57-year-old Everett Gibson of Falmouth.
Barker was pronounced dead on scene by the Pendleton County Coroner’s Office. Two juvenile passengers in the truck were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
Troopers were assisted on scene by the Pendleton County Corners Office, Pendleton County EMS, Pendleton County Fire Department, Northern Pendleton Fire/EMS, Southern Campbell EMS, Air Evac Life Team and University of Cincinnati Air Care.
