VERSAILLES, Ky. – One woman has died after authorities say her vehicle struck a tractor-trailer in Woodford County.
According to the Kentucky State Police, troopers responded to a two-vehicle collision that occurred around 9:46 a.m. Thursday.
Authorities say a preliminary investigation shows the collision took place near the 61-mile marker of Interstate 64. Troopers say a vehicle was traveling westbound in the right lane as traffic remained at a slow pace due to construction.
According to troopers, the driver, 36-year-old Christine Wilson of Versailles, then struck the back of a tractor-trailer.
Authorities say Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene due to the crash.
The tractor-trailer driver, 47-year-old James Calvin of Wentzville, Missouri, did not sustain life-threatening injuries, authorities say.
