Woman arrested after horses run free multiple times
You know the old saying, ‘Third Time’s the Charm.’ For one Hardin County woman, the 30th time was the charm.
According to the News Enterprise in Elizabethtown, Martina Daupino was arrested after her horses were seen running loose.
Authorities said they had been to the same area at least 30 times in the last year to similar calls of horses running free.
A deputy managed to get the horses back onto their lot and patch the fence and gates where they got out, according to an arrest warrant.
Daupino is now being charged by the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office with two counts of second-degree cruelty to animals and a violation for allowing cattle to run at large.
Second-degree cruelty to animals is a class a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail, a fine or both.
