Warren County Public Schools enrollment up
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Warren County has grown immensely over the past 10 years, and the schools have been working hard to keep up.
Rob Clayton has been the Superintendent of Warren County Public Schools for 14 years now and has seen a 30% growth in enrollment during his tenure.
In just the past year, enrollment has increased 62 children from last school year, making a total enrollment number of 18,501.
“Without a doubt, I’m extremely proud of our collective efforts to not only manage but try to stay ahead of the growth. We’ve opened five new schools in my time here. All of them have opened up on time. That’s a big lift to do just once or twice. And the fact that we’ve been able to do that now with the impact center, just last week, our fifth new facility really speaks volumes about the commitment to trying to stay ahead of the growth,” said Clayton.
Summer View Elementary will be finished in the spring and is expected to open next school year.
Clayton also said Oakland Elementary is next in line for a new building and expects to have students in the new building in 2028. They are hoping to break ground in the fall of this year.
The schools are also still hiring bus drivers. Drivers will be paid $21.22 starting out and work 20 hours per week. There is currently a $500 sign on bonus for those without experience and a $2,500 sign on bonus for drivers with a CDL. Apply at warrencountyschools.org
