Warren County Fire releases final drawings for new fire engines

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – The Warren County Fire Department System (WCFDS) released final drawings for two new rescue engines Wednesday.

According to a social media post, WCFDS will assign the twin apparatus to Alvaton and Richardsville Fire Departments before January 1, 2027.

The twin apparatus will be fully capable fire engines and carry enhanced rescue equipment for vehicle extrication and specialized emergencies.

WCFDS says some of the features include:

  • 10,000 lbs. Winch access points on all four sides
  • Upper coffin compartments for increased storage
  • Expanded interior cab storage
  • Three crosslays, front bumper discharge, and rear discharges
  • Interior Stokes basket storage to protect equipment from the elements
  • Booster line for brush and rubbish fires
  • Additional operational enhancements

The fire engines are expected to be active in Alvaton and Richardsville in early 2027.
