SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A wanted Scottsville man is behind bars after allegedly fleeing police.

According to a uniform citation, the Allen County Sheriff’s Office received a call Monday from a bail bondman from Alabama asking about a wanted man identified as 25-year-old Jordan Blankenship of Scottsville.

Authorities say Blankenship’s warrant confirmed extradition from Kentucky.

According to officers, the Scottsville Police Department located Blankenship in the Alco Apartment parking lot getting into a vehicle.

Authorities say Blankenship then resisted arrest and started to flee.

Police say a taser was deployed on Blankenship several times, with only one time being effective, bringing him to the ground.

Authorities say Blankenship then continued to resist arrest even while placed in handcuffs.

According to police, Blankenship threw two bags of marijuana across the parking lot.

Blankenship was taken into custody.

He is charged with resisting arrest, third-degree fleeing or evading police, possession of marijuana and tampering with physical evidence.
