UPDATE: Logan County man charged with burglary

LOGAN COUNTY, Ky. – Authorities have arrested one man and are still searching for another following a burglary in Logan County.

On Aug. 1 around 2:23 a.m., the Todd County Sheriff’s Office was contacted about an individual that had been brought to Jennie Stuart Medical Center with a gunshot wound, according to Logan County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities stated the victim stated that he had been at a party in the Fairview area, where he had been shot. The Todd County Sheriff’s Office and the Kentucky State Police determined through an investigation that the shooting incident had occurred in Logan County, stated the Sheriff’s Office.

Logan County Sheriff’s Office said their investigators determined Joshua Taylor, 35, of Russellville allegedly broke into a residence on Deerlick Road on Aug. 1, where the homeowner opened fire on Taylor once he had entered.

On Monday, Aug. 8 at 8:35 a.m., Taylor was arrested without incident in relation to a burglary.

Taylor is being held in the Logan County Detention Center and has been charged with first-degree burglary, fourth-degree assault and second-degree criminal mischief.
