UPDATE: Breckinridge County authorities arrest man at center of manhunt

IRVINGTON, Ky. – The Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office and the Irvington Police Department say that 45-year-old Lester Perks is now in custody.

IRVINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police says authorities are continuing to search for a male, who has since been identified and is considered armed and dangerous.

Authorities say the male subject has been identified as 45-year-old Lester Perks, who is accused of causing significant damage to vehicles and property in Irvington.

Troopers released a photo of Perks on Wednesday, which has been attached above.

IRVINGTON, Ky. – Breckenridge County authorities are searching for a man who is considered armed and dangerous.

According to the Breckenridge County Sheriff’s Office, authorities are searching for a male who is five feet 11 inches, 160 pounds, approximately 45 years old and wearing a maroon T-shirt.

Breckenridge County dispatch tells WNKY News 40 that the City of Irvington has issued a shelter-in-place order and the Breckenridge County Sheriff’s Office has asked everyone within county limits to stay inside. Breckenridge County government operations are also closed.

Dispatch said no residents have been injured, but the man is considered “armed and dangerous.”

The Breckenridge County School District announced it will be closed on Wednesday due to a “dangerous situation.”

Kentucky State Police Public Affairs Officer Trooper Bryan Washer says KSP is now involved in the search.
