Trucker airlifted to hospital after crash in Barren County
A 50-year-old man was airlifted to the hospital after being involved in a crash in Barren County.
It happened just after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday on Austin Tracy Road near Holder Road.
According to the Barren County Sheriff’s Office, Phillip Piper of Knob Lick, was operating his semi-truck when it exited the roadway and overturned on an embankment.
Piper was freed by mechanical means and was flown to Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville for treatment.
His condition is unknown at this time.
