Troopers apprehend suspects after overnight multi-county pursuit

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Three men are facing charges after an overnight pursuit crossed from Warren County into Hart County.

According to a uniform citation, the Kentucky State Police was conducting a traffic stop just before 11:45 p.m. Sunday on Interstate 65 near the 34-mile marker.

Authorities say a second trooper saw a vehicle approaching from the back at a high speed. Troopers say they measured the vehicle at 112 miles per hour in a 70 mph zone.

According to authorities, the vehicle began weaving through traffic, eventually measuring at 157 mph.

While later attempting to stop the vehicle, authorities say the vehicle attempted to flee just south of the Warren County line.

Authorities say one trooper was forced to disengaged from the pursuit due to having a flat tire.

According to the citation, a Cave City unit deployed stop sticks, eventually leading the vehicle to stop in Horse Cave.

Authorities say all three people in the vehicle were taken into custody. According to troopers, all three were advised they would be charged if they did not identify the driver, however, each individual would not say who was driving.

As a result, 23-year-old Anthony Wilson, 20-year-old Malachi Wilson and 23-year-old Christian Tucker were arrested.

All three remain at the Warren County Regional Jail.

Anthony Wilson and Tucker are charged with speeding 26 mph or greater over the speed limit, reckless driving, first-degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, rear license not illuminated, improper passing, failure to or improper signal and operating on a suspended or revoked operators license.

Malachi Wilson is charged with speeding 26 mph or greater over the speed limit, reckless driving, no registration plates, no registration receipt, first-degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, rear license no illuminated and improper passing.
