Traffic pattern change coming to KY 242 at US 31-W intersection in Warren County

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A traffic pattern change is coming to the KY 242 (Richpond Road) approach to U.S. 31-W (Nashville Road) in southern Warren County.

Crews are expected to implement the changes Tuesday morning, transportation officials say.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the current left-turn lane from KY 242 to U.S. 31-W on the east side of the intersection will become a shared left-turn/through lane. The current right-turn/through lane will become a dedicated right-turn lane.

The changes are expected to improve traffic flow and increase the efficiency of the intersection.

Drivers should use caution, watch for signage and pavement markings and be alert for crews working in the area.
