Toys for Tots gives toys to children impacted by the tornadoes

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Children and families impacted by the tornadoes received Christmas gifts over the weekend from a local non-profit.

Toys for Tots opened their doors Saturday for families in need of presents after having suffered the impacts of the devastating tornadoes in the area.

During that time, the organization and volunteers serviced around 900 children, according to their post on Facebook.

The event was held at the North Pole location in Bowling Green and immediately followed the last day of their normal gift giving weekend.

Toys for Tots is already beginning to collect gifts for next year and will continue their last day of gift giving Christmas morning alongside Santa Clause himself.
