Tornadoes hit Kentucky, Indiana

(NBC News) A massive winter storm that had already battered Colorado and Wyoming slammed into the Midwest Thursday.

Several tornadoes swept across parts of Kentucky and Indiana, leaving destruction in their wake.

It’s the latest punch from what meteorologists are calling a “bomb cyclone” of historic proportions, dumping snow, hail and rain with the power of a Category One hurricane.
