The Medical Center at Bowling Green recommends new routes to emergency department

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Medical Center at Bowling Green is releasing an important update about routes to its emergency department.

Starting Wednesday at 8 p.m., the Kentucky Department of Transportation is conducting a traffic change on U.S. 31-W Bypass between Fairview Avenue and Park Street that is expected to causes traffic delays.

According to Med Center Health, anyone traveling to the Medical Center Bowling Green campus should consider the following alternative approaches:

• From Cemetery Road/Fairview Avenue coming into Bowling Green, stay on Fairview Avenue and use High Street to access the emergency department.
• Traveling North on 31-W Bypass, turn left on Fairview and use High Street to access the emergency department.
• All other approaches may continue with their normal access to The Medical Center Bowling Green Campus.

This traffic change will start on Wednesday, March 25 and conclude in the fall of 2027.
