Barren County car break-ins were ‘isolated incident’ involving juveniles, deputies say

GLASGOW, Ky. – The Barren County Sheriff’s Office is providing an update regarding a series of vehicle break-ins.
Authorities stated on Tuesday that, following an investigation, they learned the thefts that occurred early Sunday morning were determined to be an isolated incident involving juveniles.
The sheriff’s office says there is no ongoing threat to the public.
“We want to reassure our community that this matter has been addressed. We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as we continue to ensure the safety of Barren County,” the sheriff’s office stated.
This follows after deputies say they searched the area and determined 10 vehicles were broken into between the hours of midnight and 2 a.m.
Several items were reported missing by the vehicle owners, according to the release.
BCSO says video surveillance shows two potential suspects in the investigation.
According to the release, the incidents occurred at the Beatrice Lane, Certain Lane, Jackson Trail and Juno Way areas.
