Tennessee man arrested after alleged motorcycle pursuit in Allen County

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – One man is facing multiple charges after a reported motorcycle pursuit in Allen County on Monday.

According to a uniform citation, the Allen County Sheriff’s Office observed a motorcycle traveling on Blankenship Road at a high rate of speed.

Authorities say after losing visual, a caller later reported seeing the motorcycle speeding near the intersection of Union Chapel Road and Mount Union Road.

Deputies say they located the motorcyclist near the Tennessee line at the intersection of Lafayette Road and Isom Bradley Road.

Authorities say the deputy attempted to stop the motorcycle, which fled down a rural road.

The motorcyclist was later found near a wooded area next to the creek at Ray Lawrence Bridge, authorities say.

The motorcyclist was identified as 23-year-old Joey Bandy of Lafayette, Tennessee.

Bandy was incarcerated at the Allen County Detention Center, where he has since been released.

He faces charges of first-degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), no registration plates, failure of owner to maintain required insurance, security, first offense, and reckless driving.
