Tennessee man accused of threatening to detonate bomb at new Nissan Stadium construction site

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A Tennessee man was arrested in Alabama after allegedly threatening to detonate a bomb at a construction site in Nashville, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD)
According to a release, 47-year-old Marque Henderson, of Robertson County, Tennessee, was arrested by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office in Alabama after the Specialized Investigations Division
Henderson worked as a subcontractor on the new Nissan Stadium. He allegedly sent a text message to the manager of Turner Construction Company on Tuesday, threatening to detonate a bomb at the construction site to “blow up the workers.” The manager says the person who sent the text claimed to be from Saudi Arabia.
During the investigation, SID detectives determined that the text was sent from a burner cell phone. Detectives say they submitted emergency disclosure requests and identified Henderson as the suspect.
Henderson fled the Nashville area and traveled to Alabama after the text was sent, according to the release.
MNPD says arrest warrants charging Henderson with threatening to commit an act of mass violence and making a false report of an emergency.
According to the release, Henderson will return to Tennessee to face two felony charges.
The investigation is ongoing.
