Suspect who allegedly struck Warren Central student in hit-and-run appears in court
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The suspect in an alleged hit-and-run that injured a Warren County High School student last month appeared in court Wednesday morning for his preliminary hearing.
Authorities say Tosiwo Ifamlik hit the teen on Sept. 15 while driving on Dragon Street and Warren Central Avenue. News 40 attended his preliminary hearing, and witnesses said it was as he was dropping off his son.
A witness followed Ifamlik’s gray Dodge Durango after the alleged hit-and-run to his address before obtaining the license plate information and calling authorities to report it.
The teen victim is said to only have minor injuries.
During Ifamlik’s preliminary hearing, the judge found probable cause to his charges, which are first-degree wanton endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident/failure to render aid or assistance, fourth-degree assault and disregard traffic regulation by pedestrian.
He will go before a grand jury.
News 40 will provide additional updates as they are released.
