Storm damage across Grayson County

GRAYSON COUNTY, Ky.- Storm damage was reported across Grayson County in the Wax community.

Grayson County Emergency Management said 20 -25 buildings were damaged. One serious injury and others had minor injuries.

Fire departments, emergency response agencies and other community hands came to help those affected by the storm.

Grayson County Emergency Management director Carey Sims said this extent of damage is rare in the county.

“People are in shock right now. This is one of the biggest events we’ve had in quite a few years. I’ve lived in Grayson County since 2003 and this is the biggest damage that I’ve seen,” said Sims.
