Snowman scavenger hunt is providing adventure for the community at Preston Miller Park

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – For those who like the cold and are looking to take a quick trip to a local park, Bowling Green Parks and Recreation have set up a fun snowman scavenger hunt.

Preston Miller Park has been visited by 12 snowmen that are hiding around the park.

Visitor can work to find all 12 and snap a picture of each. Then, they can post it online with the hashtag #BGParksScavengerHunt and join the outdoor adventure.

Cameron Levis with Bowling Green Parks and Recreation said this is a concept they have implemented at other parks to find park related items, but this one is different.

This one involves hidden snowmen!

“This was actually a product of COVID. It was a way for us to still provide a safe activity in our parks for families and individuals in our community to still enjoy being somewhere that they could be safely, being outside in the parks. But we have really kind of taking it on as a department and did kind of make it a permanent program and project that we can do,” said Levis.
