Sledders enjoy fun in the snow
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Friday was very chilly but with that sun out, warmth was making its way to sledders up on Hospital Hill.
Dozens of families hit the hill with their sleds and makeshift sleds.
Kids and adults alike were enjoying the snowy hill, day off work and sunshine.
Several people wiped out on their sleds and one little girl confidently hit a tree while grinning ear to ear.
The improvised slopes were packed with locals enjoying fun in the freezing cold temperatures.
One man was visiting his sister, a WKU professor, and saw his very first snow accumulation.
“This is my first time being in weather this cold or seeing snow. It’s a lot of fun. Sledding was fun, except for I miss accounted for one of the hills was too steep, but it’s a whole lot of fun. I’m having a lot of fun,” said Adam Baker, an out of town visitor enjoying sledding.
News 40 observed a significant amount of trash, alcohol containers, and broken sleds left at the top of the hill.
It is extremely important to remember to pick up after yourself while sledding.
