SKYCTC to showcase regional artists in summer exhibition

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College will welcome local and regional artists to its new gallery space this summer with the ArtWorks Inc. Summer Exhibition.

The exhibition will run from June 8 through July 23 at the SKYCTC Art Gallery, located inside the Robert and Mary Tincher Campus and Community Center on the college’s main campus.

The showcase will feature award-winning artwork created by artists from across the region and marks another opportunity for the college to connect with the community through the arts.

Gallery Director Leslie Nichols said the exhibition reflects SKYCTC’s commitment to highlighting local talent and creating opportunities for community engagement.

“At SKYCTC, we’re dedicated to our community, and featuring artists from our community is a great way to participate, show our dedication to the community and share the best of what our region has to offer,” Nichols said.

College officials say the new gallery is designed to serve as a space for artistic expression, collaboration and cultural enrichment while giving artists a professional venue to display their work.

An opening reception for the exhibition is scheduled for June 8 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and is open to the public.
