Shelter pets receive extra love for Betty White’s 100th birthday
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Monday would have been Betty White’s 100th birthday and shelter pets across the nation are getting a little extra love in her honor.
Locally, the Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society offered half priced adoptions on all animals at their shelter in honor of Betty White.
There were 17 pets that found their forever homes.
People have also been doing the Betty White Challenge where, in honor of her life and love of animals, people have been giving $5 donations to their local shelters.
The Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society received around $3,000 in her memory.
