Several counties lift burn bans after rain

SOUTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY – Burn bans recently issued in Metcalfe County, Edmonson County and Warren County have been lifted as of Friday, officials say.
That’s according to executive orders by each county’s respective judge executive. The orders say the ban has been lifted due to rain subsiding drought conditions.
At the time of this report, burn bans remain active the following counties:
- Bracken
- Grayson
- Logan
- Monroe
- Simpson
- Todd
Burn bans generally prohibit the outdoor burning of any material, including but not limited to charcoal grilling, bonfires, campfires and burning leaves. In addition, fireworks lighting may also be prohibited depending on the county.
