Section of Logan County roadway to close for overnight resurfacing project

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is closing a roadway for a resurfacing project of U.S. 79 in Russellville.

According to the KYTC, U.S. 79 between KY 100 (mile point 15.2) and U.S. 68 (mile point 16.1) will be closed from 7 pm to 6 am on Wednesday, Aug. 19 and Thursday, Aug. 20.

Officials say the roadway will be open during daytime hours.

Motorists are asked to drive with caution in the area as construction vehicles will be entering and exiting the roadway.
