WARREN COUNTY, Ky. (WNKY) — An elderly woman who prompted a search near Fuqua Road in Warren County has been found safe, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies announced Wednesday evening that they had located the woman and that she was safe with them.
“We appreciate all the assistance,” the sheriff’s office said in an update.
Deputies had been searching near the 1700 block of Fuqua Road after a caller reported seeing an elderly woman who appeared to be in medical distress walking through a field and into a wooded area.
The sheriff’s office said the woman had not been seen leaving the woods after several hours, prompting the search.
Authorities have not released additional details about the woman or her condition.

Deputies are currently searching near the 1700 block of Fuqua Road.
According to the sheriff’s office, a caller reported seeing an elderly woman who appeared to be in medical distress walking through a field before entering the woods.
Authorities say the woman had not come out of the wooded area several hours later.
