Faith community lifts up healthcare workers
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – On a warm, breezy Tuesday evening in April, in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak, Crossland Community Church gathered members of the congregation and of the community to show their support for healthcare workers in Bowling Green.
Just after 5pm, led by an escort from local law enforcement, a caravan of cars, trucks and SUVs made their way from the church’s parking lot to a parking lot overlooking The Medical Center of Bowling Green’s Tower D, the area of the hospital where COVID-19 patients were being cared for.
Bystanders could hear prayer, cheering and horns blowing in support of the healthcare workers of the community.
Crossland Community Church will host another caravan Wednesday evening, making their way to TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital.
