Report: Second COVID-19 death reported in Barren River District Health Department area

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Barren River District Health Department is reporting a second coronavirus-related death in the area.

The health department made the announcement in a news release sent out Thursday afternoon.

As of Thursday night, details on the individual still had not been released. The new death is the second in the area the health department covers. Last month, a 90-year-old woman from Simpson County died from the virus.

Also on Thursday, the health department released information on the number of new positive cases of COVID-19. Warren and Butler were the only two counties to see additional cases:
