Portion of I-165 northbound reopens after crashes in Butler County

BUTLER COUNTY, Ky. – A portion of Interstate 165 northbound is back open at the 23-mile marker in Butler County after two crashes Friday, transportation officials say.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District Three says all lanes have reopened following an initial crash that occurred Friday morning.

According to Trooper Katan Parker, public affairs officer for the Kentucky State Police Post Three, a secondary crash later occurred near the area. Parker says troopers responded around 12:26 p.m., and no injures from that crash have been reported.

According to Parker, an involved vehicle caught fire after the secondary collision.

All lanes in the area remain open at this time.
