Portion of Chestnut Street to close for utility work

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A portion of Chestnut Street is being impacted this week by utility work.
According to a social media post by the City of Bowling Green, starting Monday, public works crews are performing hydro excavation of utilities to prepare for the Chestnut Street replacement project.
Officials say this will continue for two weeks.
The work will require intermittent closures of Chestnut Street between East Fourth Avenue and U.S. 31-W Bypass, according to the city.
