Barkley is 13 years old. black lab, heartworm positive.

He is older, and dogs like him get overlooked every single day.

According to the shelter, he is tired, confused, and alone.

Yet he is gentle and loving.

He doesn’t need much: no long hikes. no chaos.

Just a quiet place to lay his head, a soft bed, and someone to remind him he matters.
