Passerby charged after intervening in domestic dispute
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Police Department was called to a scene on Louisville Road where they say a domestic incident led to a gun going off in public.
Police say a man armed with a knife ran into a store chasing a woman and slashed the woman’s tires.
A passerby, now identified as Timothy McBee (30), saw the altercation, chased the man with the knife and shot a gun up into the air, according to police.
When law enforcement arrived, McBee was detained and charged with 1st degree wanton endangerment, discharging a weapon in the city limits and alcohol intoxication in a public place.
The man with the knife was seen running across Louisville Road toward the train tracks and was still on the loose, according to police.
Officials describe the man as a black male with a black shirt and jeans.
