Overnight utility work to impact traffic along U.S. 31-W Bypass next week

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. –  Bowling Green drivers should be aware of potential traffic impacts along U.S. 31-W Bypass starting the night of Monday, Sept. 7.

According to a release by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District Three, this is due to U.S. 31-W Bypass being widened.

The road will be reduced to one lane, with traffic controlled by flaggers from 6 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday between KY 234 and Park Street, transportation officials say.

Drivers should expect delays and traffic backups during this time. Additional traffic pattern changes and delays are possible Tuesday and Wednesday during daytime hours.

However, the one-lane traffic configuration is expected only during the overnight hours Monday, officials say.
