One taken by helicopter medics after single car collision
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – At around 9 a.m. Friday, first responders were called to the scene of an accident with entrapment involving a fire.
On Jackson Bridge Road, a woman was pulled from a car after the vehicle swerved off of the road and into a ditch, according to police.
The Bowling Green Fire Department cut the vehicle open and got the woman out where she was transported by ambulance to the Air Evac helicopter and flown to an area hospital for treatment, according to law enforcement.
The vehicle’s engine and front wheels were ripped off the vehicle during the collision.
The cause of the collision is also unknown, but Warren County Sheriff Brett Hightower says this serves as a good reminder to drive carefully.
The Hadley Fire Department assisted the Warren County Sheriff’s Office on the scene.
Officials have not released the name of the woman involved and her condition is unknown at this time.
