One killed, one injured in two-vehicle Hart County wreck

A Munfordville man died and a teen was critically injured in a Tuesday night collision near the 4300 block of South Dixie Highway in Hart County.

Hailey Wilson, 18, of Munfordville was driving a 2016 Dodge passenger car south when police said her vehicle crossed the centerline into the path of Michael D. Riggs, 50, according to a release from Kentucky State Police.

The impact of the crash caused Riggs’ vehicle to leave the east side of the road and catch fire. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the release.

Wilson was taken by medical helicopter to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, according to the release.
