Ohio County man charged in $800,000 theft, damage investigation

CENTERTOWN, Ky. – An Ohio County man is charged with theft and drug possession following an investigation.

According to the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office, a search warrant was executed at a home in the 13000 block of State Route 69 South in Centertown Monday, resulting in the arrest of 32-year-old Nathanial Burden.

Deputies obtained the search warrant following an investigation into possible thefts that started June 21.

OCSO says items from the alleged thefts, suspected methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located inside Burden’s home.

Investigators say the total damage and stolen property is approximately $800,000.

Burden was arrested and lodged at the Ohio County Detention Center.

Burden is charged with drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, first-degree possession of a controlled substance third or > offense (methamphetamine), second-degree criminal trespass, first-degree criminal mischief, and receiving stolen property $10,000 or more.

The investigation is ongoing.
