Next phase set for impeachment inquiry

(NBC News) The House Judiciary Committee announced Tuesday it’s going to take over the impeachment probe of President Trump. There first hearing is scheduled for Wednesday of next week.

Unlike previous hearings, President Trump’S legal team is invited to question witnesses.

In a statement, committee chairman Jerry Nadler said “The president has a choice to make: He can take this opportunity to be represented in the impeachment hearings, or he can stop complaining about the process.”

At a Florida rally Tuesday night the president again denied the key issue withholding for an aid for a political favor.

“I have never had a direct link between investigations and security assistance,” Mr. Trump said.
